Executive Wellness Coaching

Leading an organization is never easy, even in the best of times.  Knowing how to lead  during times of crisis is critical if that organization is to survive and thrive on the other side.  Executive wellness coaching helps business owners and corporate leaders develop the skills needed to navigate these chaotic and volatile times.  Executive wellness coaching also accelerates the development of high potential talent within organizations.

In recent years, executive coaching itself has become acceptable, often used to correct deficit behavior in managers or other key personnel.  This, however, could not be further from the true power of executive wellness coaching.  The coaching process is designed to help high-performing individuals expand  personal awareness and develop the soft skills so crucial for leading successful teams and organizations.

Executive coaching is not for everyone.  If coaching is to be successful, the individual must be willing to be questioned and challenged at a very basic level.  Those who are resistant to change or look only for approval of their actions would find coaching to be a waste of time and money.  However, if an individual truly wants to take their performance to the next level and become a better leader, more productive, more effective, more focused, and more energized, executive wellness coaching will help you make those changes.

Traditional executive coaching focuses on professional behavioral change.  Executive wellness coaching focuses on the entire individual.  We cannot perform at our peak professionally if we neglect our physical and emotional wellness.

Executive wellness programs combine business coaching with a personal trainer.  You receive the benefits of an executive coach and a trainer on a weekly basis.  During your initial session, your trainer will analyze your movement capabilities and based on that information, design an exercise program for your specific needs.  You then meet with your trainer virtually once a week to record an exercise session which can be used as a training tool.  Together, you develop a nutrition program to help you reach your health and fitness goals.

Weekly sessions with your executive coach focus on developing behaviors that impact performance and address real-time challenges.

Once a month, we all come together to discuss and evaluate your progress and ensure we are all working together to help you reach your desired outcomes on all levels as quickly and efficiently as possible.

While the executive coaching program at Chris Griffin Coaching is based in organizational psychology, we believe a more holistic approach to the coaching experience better serves our clients.  We incorporate principles of positive psychology and mindfulness, along with fitness and nutritional training to deliver a result that promotes the greatest professional and personal transformation.

Executive coaching programs are tailored to each individual.  The average program lasts  between 90 and 180 days, with weekly scheduled meetings lasting between 60 and 90 minutes.

Executive wellness coaching is not an easy process, nor do we live in easy times.  Successful leaders need to at their best physically, emotionally, and professionally if they are to lead their organizations and businesses through this chaos and adapt successfully to this new business environment.

Gig Work Coaching

Since the Great Recession of 2008, the Gig Economy has been on the rise.  With the current economic meltdown, the gig economy will play an increasing role in the global economic picture.  While there are pros and cons to choosing a less traditional path in the gig economy,  those resilient enough to adapt to the challenges of full autonomy in their careers seldom choose to return to traditional employment.

Gig coaching is designed  to support those who have recently left traditional employment.  Most of our clients have already had one full career in the conventional economy.  Due to lay-offs, downsizing, or furloughs, they find themselves looking to support themselves outside of the traditional employment model. Some turn to gig work because their original vision of retirement wasn’t as fulfilling as expected.

Because success in the gig economy is similar to running a business, Gig coaching is rooted in traditional business coaching and adapted to meet the challenges of an unfamiliar and inconsistent working environment.  Gig work can be confusing, overwhelming, yet ultimately exhilarating if you are resilient, creative, and adaptive.

Some gig workers have a clear vision of the type of gig career they would like to create.  Some do not.   Research shows the most successful gig workers are those  who find a purpose in what they do.  Gig work is not just about bringing in a paycheck. It’s also about serving others and finding fulfillment in your work.  Whether it is copy-writing,  training, coding, consulting, or even coaching, you determine what fulfills you.  It may be a continuation of your work in the traditional economy.  It may be a new talent you have always wanted to develop.  The choice is up to you.

During weekly sessions, you and your coach work through the transitional confusion until you gain a clear picture of your life in the gig economy.  Your coach will guide and question you.  Questions designed to open exploration of alternatives or illuminate and reverse self-defeating behaviors. Questions that generate greater levels of self-awareness and personal accountability.

Once you have crystallized your vision of success in the gig economy, your coach will help you bring that vision to reality.  Together you will design a strategy to drive your vision forward.  Weekly sessions hold you accountable to your action plans while giving  you time and  space to reflect on your progress.  Your coach is there to guide and support you throughout this time of transition with the unique perspective of someone who has already been through the process.

Our Gig  coaching programs give you targeted support during your journey through the gig economy.  During the initial session, you and your coach will define and clarify your coaching objectives in order to keep the process streamlined and efficient.  Coaching programs last between a minimum of four weeks up to twelve weeks for maximum benefit.  The length of each program is determined by the goals and objectives of the client and can be adjusted if additional outcomes are introduced or eliminated during the coaching progress.  Most coaching programs are based on weekly sixty minute coaching sessions for consistent and continuous support.
